Neto started learning the drums when he was 3, and was a music scholar at Kingsdale Foundation School. Besides drums, he also plays piano, bass guitar, steel pans, percussion and violin. He intends to pursue his studies at music college.
Yiming started learning the organ when he was 15. Already a Grade 8 pianist, as well as learning the organ Yiming plays the violin and sings. Away from music, he enjoys playing rugby.
Frankie has been playing the clarinet for nearly 7 years and is currently working towards grade 8. Alongside this she plays in lots of bands and orchestras at school as well as playing the piano. "I love playing the clarinet at church because I enjoy bringing something I love into my worship and I like to see the joy my playing brings to others".
Our music team is led by James Carpenter FRCO. He combined studying maths at Warwick with an organ scholarship at the University and St Mary’s Church Warwick. Subsequently he was Director of Music at New Road Baptist Church Oxford, becoming Director of Music at Beckenham Baptist Church in 1998. James received his fellowship of the Royal College of Organists on the 4th of March 2023.
Away from church he is a Professor of Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
